“The organization, an affiliate of ja usa (the national organization), is a for impact agency dedicated to educating students in grades k-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. The agency prepares and inspires young people to succeed in a global economy by linking the business and education communities together through effective, professional and current educational programming. The organization maintains an active vision, front and center, on how to have a positive impact on the lives of students - guided by the core values: belief in the boundless potential of young people, commitment to the principles of market-based economics and entrepreneurship, passion for what they do and honesty, integrity, and excellence in how they do it, respect for the talents, creativity, perspectives, and backgrounds of all individuals, belief in the power of partnership and collaboration, and conviction in the educational and motivational impact of relevant, hands-on learning. “Following are some statistics for the 2013-2014 fiscal year: 690 classes (54.58% growth in past 3 school years) 13,893 students; (16% of market share of 86,093 students); high school 320 classes; middle school 185 classes; elementary school 185 classes 106,519 contact hours with business volunteers 72% of jaeco resources provided to students in grades 8-12 10,800 in scholarships and prizes awarded to ja students 845 business & community volunteers (25% of volunteers taught more than one ja program) created & implemented ja personal finance education day with ge capital for 1,100 hs students hosted the 2014 national ja titan virtual competition (included 21 ja offices with 53 teams participating) jaeco president dawn campanelli - the 2013 recipient of ja usa national karl flemke award for outstanding leadership additionally, in-kind contributions of 41,344 were made to the organization during the fiscal year.”
