Douglas County Parkinsons Support Group

“Our group Douglas County Parkinson's Support Group, hereafter DCPSG, has existed for several years;in2025 we became organized and sought 501(c)3 status. Previously we were informally operated and our support came from a local non-profit and individuals. In 2024 the group was handed a donation check written out to DCPSG which we could not cash at any bank as DCPSG did not exist as a legal entity then. Therefore, this initial return has an unusual $7,000 donation from Drive Towards a Cure that we would not have normally received in 2025. We have attached Schedule B to report that income.”

“We purchased exercise equipment to supplement existing equipment already on hand. This equipment joins the existing inventory of the Douglas County Community and Senior Center, hereafter DCCCSC.”

“DCPSG has existed as an informal group for about 20 years. This last few years since Covid-19 shut down the group and its restart has indicated that the need is much greater than the former informal group could meet. I am the new Treasurer, and it appears that no or few records were taken or kept during the informal years, thus making it unlikely that this new group formal group can properly answer this question. See comment to Line L.”
