“In 2024, Global Hope Collective Corp, doing business as Hurricane Help Florida (HHF), provided critical disaster recovery support to families in the Greater Tampa Bay area following back-to-back hurricanes. Though the organization was active for less than three months in 2024, HHF mobilized volunteers to gut 35 flood-damaged homes, saving homeowners an estimated $5,000+ per home in demolition costs. Additionally, HHF coordinated community donation drives that collected and distributed over 200 new toys, non-perishable food, clothing, furnishings, and shoes to storm-impacted families during two co-hosted community events. HHF also provided one-on-one assistance to help families navigate permitting processes, file insurance claims, and connect with licensed contractors. In some cases, HHF covered relocation and moving expenses for displaced households. These early-stage efforts laid the groundwork for a broader rebuilding effort in 2025. Approximately $48,000 in reserved funds from 2024 will be used in 2025 to purchase and deliver furniture, appliances, and rebuilding materials directly to qualified homeowners. HHF has also developed a proprietary web-based application, StormResQ, which will launch in 2025 to assist with rescue operations during hurricanes by connecting trained volunteers with families in need of evacuation or support. This technology-driven approach reflects the organizations mission to improve disaster response through innovation, coordination, and compassionate care.”
