| Outdoor Events / Health and Wellness Services - We had four events this fiscal year: our Christmas Dinner, Super Bowl Party, Spring Party, and our Health Day, to promote community and good health among people experiencing homelessness. Unfortunately, our Christmas Dinner had to be canceled due to inclement weather, but there were still some costs. At our Super Bowl Party, 160 guests and volunteers ate chili and watched the big game together. At our Spring Party, 234 people ate together, played games together, and received care and resources like haircuts, foot care, hygiene kits, food stamps. At our Health Day, 652 guests and volunteers attended as we provided free medical check-ups, vision and dental screenings, foot care, flu shots, and COVID vaccines. Through this coordinated effort among our volunteers and other medical & ministry partners, our guests from the homeless community received important medical attention and care to help meet their needs. | $0 | $35,038 |
| DC Ministry - Our Lazarus services in the Washington DC area during this fiscal year include the following: a Super Bowl party in Feb. 2024 with friends experiencing homelessness where food and drinks were provided during the game; resume workshops to assist with resumes and job applications, and continued care for underresourced neighbors through purchasing and delivering needed groceries, supplies, and water. | $2,056 | $31,466 |
| Weekly Street Ministry/Direct Client Assistance - Volunteer teams in Atlanta take drinks and a desire to connect with homeless on the street to build relationships, meet immediate needs, and refer those that want help to long term programs to our service provider partners. The organization also provides assistance to the needy by providing clothing, food, and financial assistance for rent, transportation, medical costs, and other expenses. | $7,340 | $28,138 |
| Job Training / Education - Lazarus trains volunteers through our Engaging Homelessness class, and provides job training and life skills education directly to members of the homeless population. These classes equip volunteers to better connect with marginalized neighbors in their community. Unfortunately, we had to scale back these programs, so our expenses were less this fiscal year. | $0 | $4,519 |
