| Outdoor Events / Health and Wellness Services - We hosted three events this fiscal year: our Christmas Dinner, Spring Party, and our Health Day, to promote community and good health among people experiencing homelessness. At the Christmas Dinner event, we provided a hot meal and some cold weather resources for 220 guests and volunteers. At our Spring Party, 200 people ate together, played games together, and received resources like hygiene kits and food stamps. At our Health Day, 488 guests and volunteers interacted as we provided free medical check-ups, vision and dental screenings, foot care, flu shots, and COVID vaccines. Through this coordinated effort among our volunteers and other medical & ministry partners, our guests from the homeless community received important medical attention and care to help meet their needs. | - | $44,274 |
| Weekly Street Ministry/Direct Client Assistance - Volunteer teams take drinks and a desire to connect with homeless on the street to build relationships, meet immediate needs, and refer those that want help to long term programs to our service provider partners. The organization also provides assistance to the needy by providing clothing, food, and financial assistance for rent, transportation, medical costs, and other expenses. | $4,287 | $35,821 |
| DC Ministry - Our Lazarus services in the Washington DC area during this fiscal year include the following: a Super Bowl party in Feb. 2023 with friends experiencing homelessness where food and drinks were provided during the game; resume workshops to assist with resumes and job applications, and continued care for under resourced neighbors through purchasing and delivering needed groceries, supplies, and water. | - | $19,634 |
| Job Training / Education - Lazarus trains volunteers through our Engaging Homelessness class, and provides job training and life skills education directly to members of the homeless population. These classes equip volunteers to better connect with marginalized neighbors in their community. The job training classes help prepare women for gaining employment and starting on a new career path. We held two 10 week courses - one in the spring and one in the fall. | - | $11,762 |
