The organization follows the procedures of the parent organization, metropolitan area advisory committee on anti poverty of san diego, inc.(maac) whereby board members annually sign a statement which affirms that such person has received a copy of the conflicts of interest policy, has read and understands the policy and understands that the project is a charitable organization and that in order to maintain its federal tax exemption it must engage primarily in activities which accomplish one or more of its tax-exempt purposes, and has agreed to comply with the policy. Each member of the board of directors shall review this policy annually. Any changes to the policy shall be communicated immediately to all responsible persons. Monitoring will be conducted annually by the audit committee of maac and compliance record will be maintained by the directors.

Schedule d, part x, line 2:maac housing corporation is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the "code"), and is exempt from state income taxes under the comparable state tax code, as charitable organizations whereby only unrelated income, as defined by section 512(a)(1) of the code, is subject to federal income tax. The entity files an exempt organization return in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction and the state of california.the organization follows the accounting standard for contingencies in evaluating uncertain tax positions. The guidance prescribes recognition threshold principles for finanical statement recognition of tax positions taken or expected to be taken on a tax return that are not certain to be realized. No liability has been recognized by the organization for uncertain tax positions as of december 31, 2024 and 2023.
