IRS990/Desc0MISSIONARY OUTREACH PROGRAM: PROJECT GULU-FAMILY CARE, UGANDA: The Family Care Uganda Primary school has 198 boarding with 34 younger ones commuting from their close-by homes. The girls are far too vulnerable to stay in the villages, so our providing full care keeps them safe from child and early teen pregnancies, which are otherwise rampant. The Ugandan Educational system is based on 7 grades, and in 2022 when the grade 7 class sat, despite Uganda having suffered the longest school lockdowns in the world, all in the FCU class received top grades, achieving As and Bs with no average or low scores. This is exceptional since FCU has always targeted extremely disadvantaged young people from the Acholi tribe, where many of their parents or guardians are recovering child soldiers, the Ik tribe who are extremely isolated hunters and gatherers and the Nuer tribe who are all refugees from South Sudan.Secondary School Level SponsorshipsIn 2022, following the post-pandemic period, one significant financial challenge faced by FCU has been providing funding for secondary school and university studies to students who have completed their education at FCU. Recognizing this crucial need, Activated Ministries committed to offering 28 post-secondary scholarships to FCU students pursuing higher education in 2022.In Bob Goffs Gulu Leadership High School: 10In Bethel Korean High School: 5 refugee studentsIn Jinja Progressive Academy focusing on years 11 and 12 sciences: 5Then 8 other students in varied secondary schoolsIn addition to these, we co-sponsor 18 Ik tribe students through high school with fellow donors, the Seo Hyun Foundation of Korea. They recently started to clear most of the fees and we cover the transport, personal and academic requirements (which are significant) and medical costs. Tertiary SponsorshipsSeveral of our older students are just graduating in these few weeks from1 Clinical Medical Officer (who is continuing his studies)2 graduates of Nursing and Community Health 3 graduating in Midwifery and Community Health1 graduated from Agricultural Science and Practice2 Business college graduates1 Advanced Medical Technician (qualified to now start her own clinic in the mountains)Currently in tertiary colleges and university we are sponsoring: 2 Medical technicians1 Social Work and Community Organization1 Business studies and Community Organization2 Nursing and Community Health Sciences1 Studying Construction, Building and Community Development1 Studying Education, Biology and Sciences in university heading to become a secondary school teacher. So in summary, we sponsor 232 in Primary school, and offer scholarships for 46 through Secondary school, and currently 10 through tertiary studies with 10 having just graduated their training courses. The progress made by these young people is quite phenomenal. They have each come from abject poverty. Each one is being equipped with not only academics, but we emphasize honesty, kindness, health, conflict resolution, social responsibility and much more. The young people of the Ik tribe who recently graduated, are already very actively taking leadership in pushing for education, greater health awareness, bringing their communication skills and experience to help with the UN for WFP coordination, road planning, standing against child marriage, alcoholism etc.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0IN REGOGNITION OF SERVICES (IROS) SCHOLARSHIPS: In 2022, the Activated Ministries IROS scholarship program continued to provide valuable support to the children of mission field parents. This program aims to assist these families and young people as they pursue post-secondary education. Individual scholarships within the program range from $500 to $1,500, with an average award amount of $1,000. Despite facing limitations due to a notable decrease in donation income, Activated Ministries was able to grant a total of 12 IROS scholarships to deserving students across various countries, including the United States, Mexico, Belgium, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0The Organization is exempt from federal income tax pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 23701(d) of the California Revenue and Taxation Code. The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) issued Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) No. 740-10, Accounting for Uncertainties in Income Tax, which sets a minimum threshold for financial statement recognition of the benefit of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The Organization has reviewed its positions for all open tax years and has determined that it has no uncertain tax positions requiring accrual or disclosure.
