We showcase and support performances of its practice and act as a hub for the growing community of burlesque enthusiasts while providing education and information about both the past and present of burlesque.

The burlesque hall of fame is a nonprofit museum committed to preserving, sharing, celebrating, and inspiring the art of burlesque.

All board members are asked to report conflicts of interest as they arise. Additionally, board members and the executive director are aware of personal and business relationships throughout the community and are tasked with reporting or questioning those relationships throughout the year. Conflits of interest are easly identified and questioned by the board because of the intimacy of the community.

Schedule d, part iii, line 4 - the burlesque hall of fame collects, exhibits and maintains burlesque costumes, photographs, film and video,books and publications, and other memorabilia. As the preeminent advocate for the art of burlesque, we present an educational experience for patrons while providing burlesque performers a platform and space to showcase their art. The collection is held for research, education and public exhibition in furtherance of public service,rather than financial gain. The museum does not include the cost or value of its collection in the financial position not does it reconized gifts or collections items as revnue.

General Explanation Attachment

Schedule d, part iii, line 1 - the burlesque hall of fame possesses a collection of approximately 3,150 pieces relevant to the history and development of burlesque performance. Pieces include costumes, stage props, photographs, promotional material, and personal effects belonging to performers, producers, and other figures in burlesque history. The collection is c catalogued, using current national standards for numbering, describing, and recording collection data, according to the museums collection policies and procedures. The collection is held for research, education, and public exhibition in furtherance of public service, rather than for financial gain. The museum does not include the cost or the value of its collection in the statement of financial position or gifts of revenue since items acquired for the collection by purchase are not capitalized, the cost of those acquisitions is reported as decreases in net assets in the statement of activities.
