Mission

LINCs purpose, as specified in its bylaws is, directly or indirectly, to create, own, operate, manage, provide assistance to or procure low and moderate cost housing with or without supportive social services or assistance with the tasks of daily living, to lesson the burdens of government, and to combat community deterioration.

Linc housing corporation is a nonprofit organization that builds, owns and operates affordable housing for seniors and families throughout california. Linc also offers its residents life-enhancing services through the linc cares program.

Financial Statement Notes

Part V, Line 4: Intended uses of the endowment fund.

The fund is managed by Long Beach Community FOundation (LBCF) and California Community Foundation (CCF). The funds shall be operarated as an endowment fund subjected to the spending policy of LBCF and CCF. The objectives of the Fund are to create growth while enabling an annual draw down. LBCF's mission is to initiate positive change for Long Beach through charitiable giving, stewardship, and strategic grantmaking. As a key player in the CIty of Long Beach where LINC's offices have been located for decades, there are many benefits of partnership with LBCF in general and becoming a fund holder specifically.LBCF is well connected with local leaders, philanthropic intiatives, and weathy donors in Long Beach area. Having an account gives LINC visibility with these connections. WHen LINC establishes an LBCF account, the foundation will introduce LINC to their donors at new fund holder events. LBCF will also share LINC's events, news, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, etc. with their network so social media and beyond and direct donors to LINC as a giving option for the donor advised funds. LBCF initiatives provide visibility to the wider Long Beach community for nonprofits. A relationship wioth LBCF also provides LINC with personal introductions to important players in Long Beach for local business opportunities for housing and community development as LINC works to "go deep" in this communities.CCF mission is to invest in, partner in, and amplify the power of community toward a good life. CCF enables partnerships, investments and champion advocacy for reforms that multiply impact for communities. Recognizing that community members are their own best advocates, they connect those who need support with those committed to driving progress.

Part X : FIN48 Footnote

Part x,line 2: linc housing corporation is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the "code"), and is exempt from state income taxes under the comparable state tax code, as charitable organizations whereby only unrelated income, as defined by section 512(a)(1) of the code, is subject to federal income tax. Both entities file an exempt organization return in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction and the state of california. The organization follows the accounting standard for contingencies in evaluating uncertain tax positions. The guidance prescribes recognition threshold principles for finanical statement recognition of tax positions taken or expected to be taken on a tax return that are not certain to be realized. No liability has been recognized by the organization for uncertain tax positions as of december 31, 2024 and 2023.
