“The Executive Committee consists of the President, President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and the Immediate Past President of the Association. The Executive Committee has the power and authority to conduct all business of the Association, subject to the laws of the state of incorporation or as otherwise limited or directed by the Board of Governors and the Bylaws, during the time periods the Board does not meet.”

“The Association utilizes the services of a management firm, MCI-USA("MCI") in accordance with its Bylaws and policies. Management fees represent amounts paid to MCI under the terms of an agreement for management services, office space, equipment, and other resources. Management fees totaled $290,000 for the year ended June 30, 2025. The Association's Executive Director is an employee of and was compensated by MCI.”

“The Association has two classes of members: General and Students. General members include corporate primary members: individuals serving as a representative of a special events related company; corporate additional members: individuals affiliated with a firm holding a corporate membership; individual members, and non-profit members. General members have voting rights.”

“The Board of Governors appoints a nominating committee that proposes Board members to be elected by the general membership, excluding student members, at the annual meeting.”

“The Form 990 is initially reviewed by MCI, USA. It is then shared with and approved by the Board of Directors, including the Executive Committee prior to filing.”

“The Board monitors and enforces compliance with the conflict of interest policy annually.”

“The Form 990 is available to the general public upon request.”
