Form 990-ez, Part III

Little League Baseball provides youth in our community with opportunities to develop athletic skills, teamwork, and leadership through organized baseball programs. Our league promotes character-building, sportsmanship, and community engagement by hosting practices, games, and tournaments. In the past year, we supported over 100 players, organized over 100 games, and provided equipment, uniforms, and field maintenance to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. The activity is a non-profit Little League organization that provides youth baseball programs to children in the community. The activity involves organizing and conducting games, practices, and events for children aged 5 to 18. The Little League is usually conducted by a volunteer board of directors, made up of community members who are passionate about providing a positive sports experience for children. The activities are conducted at local parks, school fields, or other public spaces. The amount of time allocated to the Little League activities will vary depending on the size and complexity of the program, but it can take up several hours a week for the volunteers. A Little League organization may allocate up to 100 percent of its time to the program. Little League organizations are usually funded through registration fees, sponsor donations, and fund-raising events. The exact percentage of expenses allocated to Little League activities will depend on the organization s budget, but it is likely to be a significant portion of the organization s overall expenses. The Little League furthers the exempt purposes of the organization by providing children with opportunities to participate in organized sports, develop physical fitness, learn teamwork and sportsmanship, and build relationships with other children and adults. By providing these opportunities, Little League helps children to develop important life skills and positive character traits that will serve them well into adulthood

IRS990ScheduleG/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0During the tax year, the organization conducted opportunity drawings as part of its fundraising activities. Participation in the drawings did not require a purchase or payment, and free entry was available to all participants on equal terms, regardless of whether a voluntary contribution was made. Contributions associated with the opportunity drawings were voluntary and not required to enter, and all participants had an equal chance of winning.
