Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XI, LINE 9:

Change in interest in beneficial trust 87,916.

Form 990, Part XII, Line 2C

The finance committee of the board of trustees also acts as the audit committee. This process has not changed from the prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART II, LINE 9:

The center reports gifts of property and equipment at their estimated fair value.

PART V, LINE 4:

The center's endowment consists of donor-restricted and board-designated funds established to provide income to support its programs and activities and to maintain facilities and grounds.

PART X, LINE 2:

The financial accounting standards board ("fasb") has issued guidance which clarifies generally accepted accounting principles for recognition, measurement, presentation and disclosure relating to uncertain tax positions. This guidance clarifies the accounting and recognition for income tax positions taken or expected to be taken in the center's income tax returns. The center's income tax filings are subject to audit by various taxing authorities. The years of filings open to these authorities and available for audit are 2010-2012. The center's policy with regards to interest and penalties is to recognize interest through interest expense and penalties through other expense. In evaluating the center's tax provision and tax exempt status, interpretations and tax planning strategies were considered. The center believes their estimates are appropriate based on the current facts and circumstances.

PART XI, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:

Change in interest in beneficial trust 87,916. Rental expenses reported on part viii, line 6b 109,265. Fundraising expenses reported as special event expenses 59,732.

PART XII, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:
