SPECIFICALLY VERMONT BIRTH TO FIVE MENTORS PROVIDED 10,000 HOURS OF MENTORING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO MORE THAN 420 FAMILY CHILD CARE PROVIDERS. RESULTS INCLUDE 75% OF CHILD CARE PROGRAMS BEING ENROLLED IN STARS, VERMONT'S CHILD CARE QUALITY RECOGNITION SYSTEM, AND 72% OF AGE-ELIGIBLE CHILDREN PARTICIPATING IN UNIVERSAL PREKINDERGARTEN.

LET'S GROW KIDS ALSO GARNERED 111 EARNED MEDIA HITS IN 2017, INCLUDING 35 NEW ARTICLES SPECIFICALLY MENTIONING LET'S GROW KIDS, 40 OP-EDS AND LETTERS TO TH EEDITOR, AND 75 SIGNIFICANT NEWS PIECES ABOUT EARLY CHILDHOOD IN VERMONT. POLLING INDICATES THAT 28% OF VERMONTERS BELIEVE THE STATE SHOULD BE DOING A LOT MORE TO ENSURE THAT FAMILIES HAVE ACCESS TO HIGH-QUALITY CHILD CARE.
