“Predisan serves the communities of olancho province, honduras through 3 main strategic areas to share god's redemptive plan for wholeness. These strategic areas are: 1. Spiritual development that includes providing opportunities to develop a relationship with christ through discipleship, promoting an environment for prayer and training of predisan's personnel and the communities, training the christian leaders, and strengthening local churches, 2. Holistic healthcare, including primary health care, disease prevention, primary health care, specialty care, and rehabilitation, 3. Community transformation, through the promotion of social participation, training of human talent, networking, community projects, healthy school program, leadership development, and water and sanitation. The follow-up of the educational development program beneficiaries, and community pastoral networks are strong components. These strategic areas are implemented through four main programs: spiritual formation, the predisan christian hospital, the center for the rehabilitation of patients with addictions (cerepa), and community transformation. The spiritual development program, with 20 chaplains, serves staff, clients and community, as target populations in over 40 communities. In 2024, over 42,500 pastoral activities were held including devotions, home pastoral visits, counseling sessions, personal prayers, discipleship sessions and other activities. Lead by predisan, there were over 139 members in the pastoral network group (compass). During 2024, the good samaritan medical center became the predisan christian hospital recognized as a level 1 hospital. The predisan christian hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, ambulance service, general medicine, 25 specialties and modern diagnostic capabilities as well as 2 surgery suites. In 2024, there were 372 surgeries with 64% performed by honduran doctors. With a focus on women's health, there were an additional 2,532 obgyn encounters. Using the matrix model, cerepa treated 160 patients in 2024. Cerepa's first expansion location was opened march 2024 in the country's capital, tegucigalpa. This is also the program's first outpatient program. An exciting new program in 2024 was the opening of 10 "community medicine cabinets" which allows the most remote communities, which may be cut off during the rainy season, access to common medicines and basic medical procedures. The educational development program served 250 high school, elementary and vocational students through a holistic approach not only providing scholarships, but also including pastoral, psychological, medical and academic activities. The virtual classrooms at the gmsc and cededo served 3,826 students with access to internet, ipads and educational activities, including a science lab. There were also over 120 tutoring sessions. Our school lunch projects in the rural communities of catacamas and culmi are empowering mothers, community leaders, lunch communities, chaplains and promoters with the resources and training to provide a daily meal for their students and children. In 2024, 686,855 lunches were served to address the growing issue of food insecurity, a nursery with 3,000 seedlings was started at the predisan facility in cuyamel. This project is also extending its reach by supporting local family and school based gardens.”
