| Exempt Purpose: To restore economic vitality to the downtown business district of Enfield, NH, including the purchase and rehabilitation of deteriorated buildings in the district, to encourage economic development for all businesses within the town, and to foster a town-wide sense of community centered on the downtown business district.Program Accomplishments for 2025: Greeley House Project: continued serving as the office of the Enfield Village Association, while also housing a two-bedroom affordable housing rental unit. The current tenants renewed their lease in 2025 and the monthly rent has remained unchanged. Business Coffee Project: EVA continued sponsoring monthly Business Coffees during 2025 to casually unite Enfield Businesses to showcase themselves and provide business networking, education and brainstorming. Business After Hours events were also held to increase opportunities for business networking. Green-Up Day Project: EVA continued to sponsor the annual town clean-up in advance of the Memorial Day festivities. Volunteers were recruited online and scheduled individually to canvass certain zones across town over two weekends. EVA set up three collection points for no contact drop-off of trash bags and collected items. The Shaker 7 Run/Walk around Mascoma Lake was suspended for this year and will resume in 2026 as part of the towns United States Semiquincentennial celebration. Main Street Flowers and Beautification Project: EVA continued their annual plantings and supplies to volunteers who continued to tend and improve flower boxes and small gardens around town. Additionally, the Beautification Committee again decorated Main Street for the Holidays with fresh garlands, lights on the lampposts, and fresh wreaths on the fences and bridge. The Harvest Fest Scarecrows Project: EVA coordinated the design, construction and deployment of Scarecrows around town during the Fall. The designs are based on business, nonprofit, government and recreational themes and displayed around town to draw attention to those groups and themes. Many volunteers refreshed and redesigned Scarecrows, located display locations around town, collected the scarecrows after about a month of display and returned them to storage for use next year. EVA decided to end the printed Business Directory Project and focus attention on the directorys Online version. All told, in 2025 over 1,500 volunteer hours fueled EVA events and activities. | - | - |
