“Primary Exempt Purpose - To lead the effort to remember North Carolina's fallen firefighters and support their families and departments. The NCFFF will compile, maintain and make available information concerning our fallen firefighters. The NCFFF will assist departments suffering a line-of-duty death of a member to plan and assist in providing appropriate funeral or memorial services to honor the fallen and support the families and department. The NCFFF will work with other NC based fire service and government agencies and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and endeavor to cultivate a fraternal spirit among firefighters as they endure the loss of a fellow firefighter. The NCFFF will conduct an annual memorial service at the State memorial site in Raleigh, NC to honor those killed in the line of duty in the previous year and host the families at the memorial service.”
