RLA EDUCATORS ARE COMMITTED TO PROVIDING A STIMULATING ENVIRONMENT WHERE CHILDREN'S TALENTS ARE EXPRESSED, VALUED, AND OPTIMALLY UTILIZED THROUGH CAREFUL PLANNING OF MEANINGFUL, EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING ACROSS ALL AREAS. RLA SPECIALIZES IN TEACHING CHILDREN TO READ, WRITE AND SPELL BY TAPPING INTO EACH CHILD'S INDIVIDUAL LEARNING STYLE. AT RLA, STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN A FULL-DAY CURRICULUM OF INSTRUCTION, INCLUDING ALPHABETIC PHONICS. RLA'S GOAL IS TO ACADEMICALLY CHALLENGE OUT-OF-THE-BOX THINKERS IN A WIDE RANGE OF ACADEMIC AREAS; SUCH AS SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART, MATH, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, AND MUSIC. STUDENTS EMERGE FROM RLA READY TO RETURN TO NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOLS WITH READING SKILLS, SELF-CONFIDENCE, AND THE NECESSARY ACADEMIC RESOURCES THAT PREPARE THEM FOR FUTURE SUCCESS. DURING THE SUMMER, RLA OFFERS AN INTENSE, SIX -WEEK INTERVENTION PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR CHILDREN WITH DYSLEXIA AND OTHER READING DIFFICULTIES. RLA ADMITS STUDENTS OF ANY RACE, COLOR, NATIONAL, AND ETHNIC ORIGIN TO ALL THE RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, PROGRAMS, AND ACTIVITIES GENERALLY ACCORDED OR MADE AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS AT THE SCHOOL. RLA DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE ON THE BASIS OF RACE, COLOR, NATIONAL, AND ETHNIC ORIGIN IN ADMINISTRATION OF ITS EDUCATIONAL POLICES, ADMISSION POLICIES, SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS, AND ATHLETIC AND OTHER SCHOOL-ADMINISTERED PROGRAMS.
