The DCID directors and officers directly oversee the activities of DCID. However, the officers of DCI also oversee the activities of DCID. All employees that carry out the activities of DCID are employees of DCI's parent company, Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC). 3CDC does not charge compensation of officers to DCI.

Advocate for and support business and residential growth downtown through stakeholder services programs and serving as the primary source of downtown data collection and distribution to stakeholders by providing the State of Downtown report.
