REHHUP IS A VOLUNTEER-DRIVEN, COMMUNITY INITIATIVE DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGES HOMEOWNERS IN THE NEAR-EAST SIDE NEIGHBORHOOD OF MOUNT VERNON TO UPDATE AND IMPROVE THE HISTORIC FACADES OF THEIR HOMES. THE PROGRAM WILL PARTIALLY- FUND EXTERIOR REPAIRS, MAINTENANCE OR IMPROVEMENTS THAT ENHANCE OVERALL DESIGN INTEGRITY AND APPEARANCE OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. GRANTS UP TO 4,500 AND LOANS UP TO 4,500 PER INDIVIDUAL ARE AWARDED. FUNDS COME FROM FOUNDATIONS AND KCLF ADMINISTERS THE PROGRAM.$5,000$15,440

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Rehhup is a volunteer-driven, community initiative designed to encourages homeowners in the near-east side neighborhood of mount vernon to update and improve the historic facades of their homes. The program will partially- fund exterior repairs, maintenance or improvements that enhance overall design integrity and appearance of the neighborhood. Grants up to 4,500 and loans up to 4,500 per individual are awarded. Funds come from foundations and kclf administers the program.

Mural program: kclf chairs a community based board that selects mural sites, chooses artists, and determines the subject for the murals. Funds also come from local foundations with the aim to beautify problem architectural surfaces that detract from the overall appearance of downtown mount vernon. The subjects of the murals are historic in nature.
