Form 990, Part I, Line 1

Ohio wildlife center is dedicated to fostering awareness and appreciation of ohio's native wildlife through rehabilitation, education, and wildlife health studies. The center is the state's largest, donation-supported wildlife hospital and is a leader for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. Nearly 9,000 injured, ill, or orphaned wildlife are presented to ohio wildlife center for rehabilitation care from 60 of the 88 counties in ohio. Wildlife rehabilitation at its donation-supported animal hospital is the core service offered by the center. The center provides a variety of programs designed to inspire passion for wild animals and to understand how individuals and communities can live in harmony with our wild neighbors. Education programs are offered for all ages with the help of the center's 60+ animal ambassadors. Programs range from summer day camps, school and community programs, site tours and educational events. The mission is to build programs that ultimately promote peaceful cohabitation and to reduce the number of animals admitted to its animal hospital because of habitat loss, conflict, or environmental issues.

Part XII, Line 2C

The finance committee assumes oversight of the audit and selection of the independent accountant. The process has not changed from the prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is organized as a tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the united states internal revenue code (irc). The organization is required to file federal form 990 return of organization exempt from income tax which is an informational return only. The organization is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions. However, as of the date the financial statements were available to be issued, there were no audits for any tax periods in progress. Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require management to evaluate tax positions taken by the organization and recognize a tax liability if the organization has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by various federal and state taxing authorities. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the organization, and has concluded that as of december 31, 2024 and 2023, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the accompanying financial statements.

PART XI, LINE 4B - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:
