“During fiscal year ended june 30, 2016, pure hope coalition was named as one of many charities to receive contributions from a charitable foundation trust. In this trust, pure hope coalition is to receive, unconditionally, 100,000 per year for 5 years. After the fifth payment the contribution is considered to be conditional and therefore future payments after the fifth year are not being recorded. For the fiscal year ended june 30, 2017, pure hope coalition corrected the error of not recording the contribution and related contributions receivable. The correction of the error is accounted for in this amended return. For the year ended june 30, 2016, contributions receivable, net was increased by 425,991 (which consisted of an increase of 450,000 in contributions receivable netted with the unamortized discount of 24,009) and contribution and grant revenue was increased by 425,991. The effect of the change is a 425,991 increase in temporarily restricted net assets for the year ended june 30, 2016.”

“In the prior years, purehope had three programs: parenting, justice & recovery. These are now lumped into one program on the 990 as the three have really become one focus in the current year and can no longer be separated.”
“Generation of parents and next-generation leaders. We hosted and sent our eighth class of college students in our justice internship; we reached over 3,600 through events; more than 1500 through our educational resources; over 10,400 through our regular emails; and communities around the globe through our upgraded web presence. After writing, designing, filming, piloting, and producing our new video resource called quest: parenting in a sexualized culture, we launched the product and released it to the pubic in three distinct phases. First, we went live with the digital version on our website and put it in the hands of our constituents through digital and print newsletters and social media. Second, we partnered with rightnow media to make this resource available to the more than 12,000 churches that subscribe to right now's library of 10,000+ bible study videos from over 150 christian publishers and ministries. Third, we designed and launched a print and dvd version of the four-session series to enable implementation in even more small-group environments. We directly facilitated engagement with quest in several venues across the country, including a partnership with the religious alliance against pornography to produce a webinar that represented a condensed version of the series and equipped a national and international audience. Altogether, we've had over 1,000 individual and group users engage with the content, representing a reach of well above that number through small and large group viewings. While parents were our primary target audience this year, we continued to inspire and equip the next generation of leaders through our justice internship and related campus outreach efforts. Thirty-seven young leaders have now graduated from this program. Art, design, and the written word also cultivate transformation, and that's one of the reasons we launched volume 1 of our new annual magazine, a world free. This beautiful, world-class publication not only connected our constituency to our mission at a deeper level, it also opened doors to hearts and minds here and around the globe in new ways. In that same vein of inspiring and equipping our constituents toward a life of prayer, understanding, resolve, and engagement, we also invested in refreshing our branding language and texture, and launched a new website to better engage a global audience seeking hope in the midst of brokenness and exploitation. This cultivation of truth and beauty in all aspects of our interaction with our audience not only impacted those we served, but also laid the foundation for increased scale and efficiency going forward.”

| IRS990/Desc | 0 | OUR MISSION IS TO SHAPE A WORLD FREE OF SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND BROKENNESS BY PROVIDING CHRISTIAN SOLUTIONS IN A SEXUALIZED CULTURE. WE EDUCATE AND EQUIP PARENTS AND COLLEGE STUDENTS TO LEAD A LIFESTYLE OF PRAYER, UNDERSTANDING, RESOLVE, AND ENGAGEMENT THAT IS ROOTED IN DEVOTION TO JESUS, THAT CULTIVATES HEALING AND FREEDOM, AND THAT UNDERMINES INJUSTICE AND EXPLOITATION BY LIVING OUT THE CLASSIC CHRISTIAN SEXUAL ETHIC, WHICH IS A REDEMPTIVE PURSUIT OF FIDELITY AND EXCLUSIVITY WITHIN THE "ONE FLESH" MARITAL UNION OF ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN, AND CELIBACY IN SINGLENESS, BOTH OF WHICH ARE GIFTS FROM GOD. THIS YEAR CONTINUED OUR STRATEGY OF EQUIPPING AND INSPIRING A NEW GENERATION OF PARENTS AND NEXT-GENERATION LEADERS. THIS CULTIVATION OF TRUTH AND BEAUTY IN ALL ASPECTS OF OUR INTERACTION WITH OUR AUDIENCE NOT ONLY IMPACTED THOSE WE SERVED, BUT ALSO LAID THE FOUNDATION FOR INCREASED SCALE AND EFFICIENCY GOING FORWARD. |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 1 | OUR MISSION IS TO SHAPE A WORLD FREE OF SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND BROKENNESS BY PROVIDING CHRISTIAN SOLUTIONS IN A SEXUALIZED CULTURE. WE EQUIP PARENTS AND COLLEGE STUDENTS TO LEAD A LIFESTYLE OF PRAYER, UNDERSTANDING, RESOLVE, AND ENGAGEMENT THAT PURSUES JESUS, CULTIVATES HEALING AND FREEDOM, AND LIVES OUT THE CLASSIC CHRISTIAN SEXUAL ETHIC, INCLUDING FIDELITY AND EXCLUSIVITY WITHIN THE "ONE FLESH" MARITAL UNION OF ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN, AND CELIBACY IN SINGLENESS, BOTH OF WHICH ARE GIFTS FROM GOD. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 2 | IN THE PRIOR YEARS, PUREHOPE HAD THREE PROGRAMS: PARENTING, JUSTICE & RECOVERY. THESE ARE NOW LUMPED INTO ONE PROGRAM ON THE 990 AS THE THREE HAVE REALLY BECOME ONE FOCUS IN THE CURRENT YEAR AND CAN NO LONGER BE SEPARATED. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 3 | GENERATION OF PARENTS AND NEXT-GENERATION LEADERS. |
