Mission

The fayette regional health system foundation is a community-directed charitable funding resource for fayette regional health system. It is our mission to act as trustee of charitable contributions, research financial support and to conduct fund raising programs to meet the specialized needs of frhs in its mission to provide excellent health care to our community.

To exist solely for furthering the health care mission of fayette regional health system. The foundation assists by raising charitable donations to enhance frhs services in the areas of, but not limited to, capital improvement, renovations, educational programs including scholarships, medical or hospital related research, and initial capitalization of new programs/services.

Annual information about the conflict of interest and disclosure are provided to members of the board of trustees, chief executive officer, administrative staff, all department managers, individuals with influence over purchasing, and individuals with contracts to fayette regional health system. Annual questionnaires are to be completed by each member of the board of trustees and the executive team, then reviewed and noted in the board minutes. In addition, any individual associated with fayette regional health system is to declare situations of actual or potential conflicts of interest as they arise, in writing, and in sufficient detail.

The foundation's employees are employed by the frhs and follows the hospital's policy for compenstion which is: the process for determining compensation for the ceo is governed by the board of trustees and delegated to the executive committee of the board to review and approve annually. In addition, all employment contracts and amendments for the ceo will be reviewed and approved by the executive committee of the board and co-signed by the chair of the board of trustees and the secretary of the board. The process for determining compensation for other officers/key employees is reviewed annually by the executive committee and ceo. The secretary of the board of trustees is responsible for recording in the minutes the deliberation and decisions.
