Mission

Improving the health status of the community at large with special emphasis on those who, because of their poverty, location in rural areas, or for other reasons, have health needs which are not being properly addressed.

To provide high quality health care services for no or minimal charges to people unable to pay. Therefore to address the health needs of low income people who are unserved, uninsured or who have a high risk of various health problems by operating health service clinics which provide a wide variety of health services including medical care and education regarding health and the health profession.

Ihc's finance committee reviews the 990 draft in detail, with a summary presentation to the full board of directors.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

All employees are required to review and sign an attestation annually for both the code of conduct and conflict of interest. The center requires that employees who have identified a conflict to utilize an internal event analysis report. All employees are able to do so if they suspect a conflict of interest or a violation of the code of conduct. Ihc board of directors review and sign an attestation annually for the conflict of interest. New board members review and sign an attestation upon becoming a board member and annually thereafter.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

Compensation is based on median employee wages for outpatient primary care offices and organizations as collected and reported by the us department of labor and the state of indiana. This information is organized by job title and contains increments between minimum, midpoint, and maximum wages/salary for the rate of pay specific to the respective qualifications. No new employee will be hired at more than the midpoint. No employee will receive wages/salary in excess of the maximum rate. Employees with first language skills in spanish receive a 3% differential in pay. Employees who have acquired spanish language skills may request a verbal test to be considered for the differential. This is reviewed and presented to the board of directors for annual approval, when wage scales are adjusted.

Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the center and has concluded that, as of december 31, 2024, there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the financial statements. The center's federal and state information returns prior to fiscal year 2021 are closed and management continually evaluates expiring statutes of limitations, audits, proposed settlements, changes in tax law and new authoritative rulings.
