Liberty baptist housing authority, inc. Is exempt from federal and state income taxes under the provisions of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and, accordingly, the financial statements include no provisions for such taxes. The project follows fasb asc 740-10-25 "accounting for uncertainty in income taxes" under which an organization must recognize the tax benefit from an uncertain tax position if it is more likely than not that the position will be sustained. The project believes that it has support for any tax positions taken and, thus, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements for which a liability should be recorded.
