Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

A portion of the endowment ($495,000) is restricted in perpetuity for general operations. Investment income on the endowed funds can be used by the organization for operating expenses.

PART X, LINE 2:

The foundation is exempt from federal, state, and local income taxes as a not-for-profit corporation described under internal revenue code section 501(c)(3). The foundation files an informational return in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction and with the kentucky office of the attorney general. However, income from certain activities not directly related to the foundation's tax-exempt purpose may be subject to taxation as unrelated business income. Management does not believe that the foundation has unrelated business income for the years ended june 30, 2025 and 2024.
