The chamber's irs form 990 is reviewed byt he board chair and executive committee prior to submission. This review ensures accuracy, transparency, and alignment with the chamber's financial records and reporting standars before the form is officially filed.

The chair of the board will ask at the beginning of each board meeting if any member has a conflict of interest with any item on the agenda. If there is a conflict of interest the board member will be asked to leave the meeting during the discussion of that agenda item. The conflict of interest policy is reviewed by the board annually.

Compensation is based on the director's experience, qualifications, and responsibilities, as well as comprable data from chambers and nonprofits across indiana. A mid-range salary was established relecting the community's population size, membeship base, and state averages for similar roles. The board of directors also takes feedback from the indiana chamer executives association (icea) with their most recent compensation and benefits survey
