Conflicts of interest are monitored by senior management to ensure that those with conflicts do not vote on matters where they have a conflict of interest. Additional Explanations

PART XII, LINE 2C:

This process has not change from prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

Endowments were transferred to a related tax-exempt entity in 2020. The organization has adopted investment and spending policies for endowment assets that attempt to provide a predictable stream of funding to programs supported by its endowment while seeking to maintain the purchasing power of the endowment assets. Endowment assets include those assets of donor-restricted funds that the organization must hold in perpetuity. Under this policy, as approved by the board of directors, the endowment assets are invested in a manner that is intended to achieve a total return that is above the market using a composite index comprised of cash reserves (0 to 60 percent) and equities (0 to 40 percent). Actual returns in any given year may vary from this amount.
