“This is a non-profit corporation organized solely for general charitable, scientific, literary and educational purpose pursuant to the florida corporation not for profit law set forth in section 617 of the florida statutes. Specifically the purposes are; 1. To organize and help persons and businesses preferably those who currently reside in the city of parkland, florida and surrounding communities. 2. To promote parkland, fl to the local, national and international level. 3. To establish communication and exchange services with other chambers of commerce and/ or business organizations. 4. To work with other non-profit organizations in order to honor all those people which have contributed in the arts and sciences. 5. To acknowledge all those who had made a contribution to the improvement and prosperity of parkland, fl. The board of directors meets monthly to plan events and coordinate the business affairs of the organization. Membership consists of businesses in the area of parkland, fl and surrounding areas. Both members and the general business community are invited to memberhsip events. These consist of alternating monthly breakfast meetings with a speaker on various business topics combined with peer to peer networking, and afterhour functions which generally consist of peer to peer networking. The purposes of both kinds are to promote business growth and enhance the skills of management and owners. The charges for the events generally are 15 for members and 20 for non members. The meetings are held at restaurants in the area, the local city recreation center and at other venues large enough to accomodate the numbers that we expect. Membership dues are 250 per year but membership is not required to attend a meeting. Trustee level membership dues are 750 and at this level there is two free admissions to all events, a special luncheon, and extra promotionsal benefits. The meetings at this time represnt substantially all of the time spent of the organization, other than the administative funtions such as bookkeeping etc. The resources spent are a combination of venue and food expenses, printing, supplies and support staff to help coordinate the membership.”
