Mission

Lancaster general health is committed to providing world-class patient care while contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular science. From prevention and diagnosis through disease management and cardiac interventions, the heart group of lancaster general health provides outstanding medical care by a team of highly qualified and caring physicians and nurses; while working collaboratively with each patient's family physician and other specialists to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.

To support the charitable health mission of lancaster general health, the heart group of lancaster general health provides integrated cardiology care to our patients and communities.

The heart group of lancaster general health adopted the provisions of financial accounting standards board (fasb) interpretation no. 48, accounting for uncertainty in income taxes (fin 48). Fin 48 requires that a tax position be recognized or derecognized based on a "more likely than not" threshold. This applies to positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The implementation of fin 48 had no impact on the heart group of lancaster general health's statement of financial position or statement of activities. The heart group of lancaster general health does not believe its financial statements include any material uncertain tax positions.
