“The Board of Governors is the principal governing body at Simon Fraser University established under the University Act. SFU operates with a bicameral governance system comprising the Senate and the Board of Governors. The Board oversees the universitys administrative matters such as property finances policies and the oversight of the President. SFUs Senate manages the academic governance. The SFU Board of Governors consists of 13 members including the Chancellor the President three elected faculty members two elected students three elected staff members and five individuals appointed by the Government of British Columbia. Board members serve voluntarily without compensation for their contributions.”
