“Hospitals in the northern virginia region comprise the members of the northern virginia hospital alliance. Northern virginia hospitals become members of the alliance to help develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive hospital emergency preparedness program capable of responding to incidents involving all hazards, including attacks to the community using weapons of mass destruction.”

“Each member hospital may determine its representative(s) on the northern virginia hospital alliance board of directors. However, each hospital member is permitted only one vote on the board. There are no reserved powers to the members. All governance decisions are made by the board.”

The board approves the compensation amount that is determined. Bonuses issued to the executive director and training director are subject to board review and approval.”
