“Counseling and food bank services - beacon of hope exists as god's hand reaching out to the broken and hurting by providing, at no cost, physical, emotional and spiritual assistance.”

“This organization participates in charitable work that provides free counseling services to the poor, low income, or disadvantaged. Biblical counseling provided compassion, empathy, encouragement, and hope to individuals and couples young and old. One full time counselor and 27 part time counselors participated in counseling. 4,738 sessions were provided, with 3,612 lives being impacted. Weekly group meetings were conducted at two area jails for women inmates. 296 lives were impacted. 2 students received educational services at holland public schools. 15 students received counseling services.”

“This organization serves the greater holland area with a food pantry that is distributed to the poor and needy. The outreach distribution programs saw a decline in number of families served, distributing commodities to approximately 95 families per month. This fiscal year served 1,278 total food boxes, touching the lives of 3,503 people. Food distribution programs logged 1,378 volunteer hours. Food given away had an estimated retail value of 53,676. 23 families were adopted at christmas to receive presents with 104 people being served.”
