Our current Chairman is the husband of our Executive Director. He only provides guidance and our ED does not have voting privileges for any major financial decisions.

We provide a copy of our completed Form 990 at a special meeting that is held specifically to review all submissions with our secretary, treasurer and Board members to ensure the accuracy of the form. It is during this meeting that we discuss any errors that might be uncovered so that our data is confirmed and reported correctly.

We ensure full compliance of our conflict of interest policy by requiring all staff and volunteers to submit a form each quarter and/or whenever they believe any part of our policy is being breached or violated. It is a requirement for everyone to review and confirm that they fully understand the terms and conditions of our conflict of interest policy.

We implement a process for establishing compensation and job descriptions that involve: (1) review and approval in advance by an authorized body of our organization comprised of individuals who have no conflict of interest with respect to the compensation arrangement; (2) determination using appropriate comparability data from similarly situated organizations for functionally comparable positions; and (3) documentation contemporaneously in the minutes of the approving body.

For families who receive less than $500 in monetary support, we submit confirmation and data to our funders so that we remain compliant with the terms of our grant contracts.
