Mission and Program Overview
Mission
The Democracy Project II (TDP) is a 501(c)(4) organization whose purpose is to assist in the creation of legal electoral districting maps required to be drawn as a result of the 2020 census and to promote the general social welfare.
The democracy project ii's goal is to ensure that the congressional and legislative maps (redrawn as a result of the 2010 census) are in compliance with both federal and state law. The organization promotes the social welfare by providing support and counsel to efforts aimed at ensuring comprehensive judicial review of the maps enacted by the nc general assembly. The organization does not lobby or engage in any partisan political activities
