Part III Primary Exempt Purpose: Our mission is to demonstrate the substantial social and economic benefits that are achieved through investment in long term credential and degree attainment for those who otherwise would not have the opportunity. ACP seeks to improve the quality of life, raise the standard of living, and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Part III - Line 4aFor the year ended 6/30/16 , Arizona Career Pathways (ACP) enrolled 15 low- income students in health care and technology-related training programs. In addition to the newly enrolled students, ACP supported a cohort of continuing students and a cohort of students who have completed programs for a total of 70 individuals receiving direct services from Arizona Career Pathways. Indirectly, ACP also assists the families of enrolled students touching over 100 men, women, and children. All students receive a variety of supports that are differentiated based on need and where they are in their training programs. Examples of supports include: weekly peer meetings, financial coaching, mentoring, and assistance with transportation, food, or child care. ACP also assists with tuition and books when needed as well as stepping in to help when the inevitable financial crisis arises. Our goal is to ensure that students do not quit attending class because they cannot afford a utility bill or if their car breaks down. We do whatever it takes to ensure students remain enrolled and complete their degrees or certificates. Research shows that achieving higher levels of education significantly reduces the incidence of living in poverty, and individuals who complete more years of education have access to higher paying jobs with benefits thus ACP is able to assist in breaking the cycle of poverty.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt3Part III Primary Exempt Purpose: Our mission is to demonstrate the substantial social and economic benefits that are achieved through investment in long term credential and degree attainment for those who otherwise would not have the opportunity. ACP seeks to improve the quality of life, raise the standard of living, and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Part III - Line 4aFor the year ended 6/30/16 , Arizona Career Pathways (ACP) enrolled 15 low- income students in health care and technology-related training programs. In addition to the newly enrolled students, ACP supported a cohort of continuing students and a cohort of students who have completed programs for a total of 70 individuals receiving direct services from Arizona Career Pathways. Indirectly, ACP also assists the families of enrolled students touching over 100 men, women, and children. All students receive a variety of supports that are differentiated based on need and where they are in their training programs. Examples of supports include: weekly peer meetings, financial coaching, mentoring, and assistance with transportation, food, or child care. ACP also assists with tuition and books when needed as well as stepping in to help when the inevitable financial crisis arises. Our goal is to ensure that students do not quit attending class because they cannot afford a utility bill or if their car breaks down. We do whatever it takes to ensure students remain enrolled and complete their degrees or certificates. Research shows that achieving higher levels of education significantly reduces the incidence of living in poverty, and individuals who complete more years of education have access to higher paying jobs with benefits thus ACP is able to assist in breaking the cycle of poverty.
