California case through the courts, the organization is leading the effort to craft new teacher workforce policies that prioritize quality teaching for all students.Students Matter launched Martinez v. Malloy, an education equality case in federal court. Based in Connecticut, a state with one of the largest achievement gaps in the nation, the case seeks to eliminate barriers for students to attend high-quality magnet, charter, and traditional schools, and aims to expand protection for children in all schools.

Provisions within the credit agreement allow for termination by either party via either a default of the terms or complete pay off. The credit line is secured by assets of the David and Heidi Welch Revocable Trust, the Organization's CEO and Director. Advances bear interest at an indexed rate, based on the balance due, not to fall below 2.25% or exceed 18%. For the year ended December 31, 2017 the interest rate accrued on advances is 3.25% and at December 31, 2017 the balance due is $2,197,648.
