“We are kindly asking the irs to waive any late filing penalties. The officer in charge of the foundation switched acountants and was unaware that the tax returns were not being timely filed. As soon as he realized that the tax returns were not filed, he instructed his new accountant to file the tax returns and complete the filing to reinstate the tax-exempt status. Please kindly waive any late filing penalties as a curtesy.”
