We offer group cessation classes and referrals to the 1-800-QUIT-NOW DC Tobacco Free Quitline.By calling the Quitline individuals gain access to free counseling services and patches or lozenges to assist in their efforts to quit. Breathe DC also offers residents free access to Carbon Monoxide testing at health fairs and special company presentations.These cessation services educate District residents on the perils of smoking cigarettes, and helps smokers quit smoking.

Campers consisted of children residing within the District of Columbia between the ages of 8 - 12 living with asthma. During the course of the program, several evaluation methods were used including, a sample of 33 campers who completed a pre and post-test, a pre and post-questionnaire for parents and a camp experience questionnaire. Evaluation results show that Camp Breathe Happy was successful in reaching the goal to increase asthma knowledge and management skills among campers that completed sessions. Camp participants were able to significanlty increase their knowledge and understanding of various asthma related topics. The information gained through the program also lead to observable improvements in asthma management, as indicated by parent responses.
