Mission

We work with individuals, organizations and communities to create productive and sustainable outcomes for learning, growth and development. Our programs and services include education, e.g. workshops, seminars and conference courses; training; coaching; mentoring; and identification, development and dissemination of research and information on best practices in building capacity.

We work with individuals, organizations, and communities, locally, regionally, and nationally, providing education and training, leadership and skills development for leaders and managers, and a variety of critical thinking and emotional intelligence workshops. In addition, we conduct research on best health and social practices on the social determinants of health and develop and disseminate articles, contribute to organizations' online newsletters, and offer data analyses collected via research surveys and focus groups to communities and organizations. We also offer pro bono coaching to other nonprofit organizations and their staff members and boards, work with local middle and high school youth, and homeless service providers collecting and distributing over-the-counter health and hygiene products. We served approximately 7200 individuals. Additional details are available in Schedule O.

FORM 990 O SIMPLE RULES FOUNDATION Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 10 - Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 10 - Grants were given as follows to community homeless and disabled veteran service providers in the amount of $1857: These were designated for the purchase of two scooters to assist in recovery and rehab of amputees; two shower chairs for in-home care and recovery; 2 fitted walkers, and an assortment of clothing for men and women. Next, $1000 for Packs for Prosperity to secure personal health and hygiene products for homeless individuals. Next, $740 for school supplies distributed to local elementary school students for a fresh start to the school year. Next, $550 to the Federal Employed Women's national training and mentorship program fund to support recent graduates entering federal service. And $850 to a local women's shelter to provide for the temporary needs of moms and their children in transition. Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 - These expenses and operational costs include insurance, office supplies, postage, memberships, local travel, and networking events, online marketing, online meeting services, participation in appropriate learning and networking events and workshops, online and professional services, and office maintenance. IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0Our primary exempt purpose is as follows: We work with individuals, organizations, and communities, locally and nationally, providing education and training, leadership and skills development for leaders and managers, and a variety of critical thinking and emotional intelligent workshops at local and national conferences and venues. In addition, we conduct research on best health and social practices on the social determinants of health, and develop and disseminate articles, contribute to organizations' online newsletters, and offer data analysis to communities and organizations in the field. We also offer pro bono coaching programs to other nonprofit organizations and their staff members and boards, work with local middle and high school youth, and homeless service providers collecting and distributing over-the-counter health and personal hygiene products. We served approximately 7200 individuals in 2024. Additional details are available and previously provided in Schedule O.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1FORM 990 O SIMPLE RULES FOUNDATION Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 10 - Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 10 - Grants were given as follows to community homeless and disabled veteran service providers in the amount of $1857: These were designated for the purchase of two scooters to assist in recovery and rehab of amputees; two shower chairs for in-home care and recovery; 2 fitted walkers, and an assortment of clothing for men and women. Next, $1000 for Packs for Prosperity to secure personal health and hygiene products for homeless individuals. Next, $740 for school supplies distributed to local elementary school students for a fresh start to the school year. Next, $550 to the Federal Employed Women's national training and mentorship program fund to support recent graduates entering federal service. And $850 to a local women's shelter to provide for the temporary needs of moms and their children in transition. Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 - These expenses and operational costs include insurance, office supplies, postage, memberships, local travel, and networking events, online marketing, online meeting services, participation in appropriate learning and networking events and workshops, online and professional services, and office maintenance. Form 990EZ, Part III, Line 28-31. The following is a list of program activities accomplished during 2024 in support of our mission. (1) Provided training, education, and workshops delivered at national and local conferences, disseminated materials and papers on our work and provided pro bono training and coaching to other nonprofit organizations' staff. (2) We also worked with local children and youth, homeless and veteran service providers, and offered educational supplies, clothing and newborn supplies. This included supporting local school events and book drives. We served approxi9mately 7000 individuals. (3) We wrote a number of articles and analyses for online and print publications about our work in evaluation and data collection. In addition, we continued our research about online coaching and mentoring, followed by the implementation of diversity, inclusion and equity programs, including health equity in urban areas. We also reported current research on the social determinants of health, created and supported ongoing local, state and national opportunities for building community coalitions and engaging in extensive networking events and seminars for community development and capacity building. This included topics of gender, cultural, and racial health disparities. Further topics included black maternal and child health with an emphasis on breast feeding.
