Adair county and the city of kirksville are rural areas. Board members are involved with kirk-tran due to their interest in the need for transportation for elderly and/or developmentally disabled citizens in the area. Many of the board members are involved through their employer, in the ordinary course of business, with organizations where other board members are employed. There are no known familial relationships among board members.
