We are a residence for elders (older adults) which offers a home-like environment based on the Green House model of rehabilitation, skilled nursing and long term care. There are four residences in the building, based on a home model floor plan, and each residence is home to as many as 12 elders. The staff of each home helps the elders live fulfilling, independent lives. The Green House model replaces traditional nursing home facilities with inviting, comfortable, social living spaces and private bedrooms and bathrooms.

The Organization used an outside firm, Sodexo, to provide meal service to residents. As part of the services provided, Sodexo managed the Organization's meal service staff. The Organization's meal service staff were compensated by the Organization. The total paid to Sodexo for goods and services during the Organization's calendar year ended 12/31/17 was $165,855.

The Organization's Board of Directors is comprised of certain directors and officers of Associated Catholic Charities, Inc. (ACC) (ex officio). The Archbishop of Baltimore (Chair of ACC's Board of Directors) has the power to appoint trustees.

The 990 for the Organization was reviewed by the Treasurer before it was filed. The 990 for the Organization's parent company, Associated Catholic Charities, Inc. (ACC) was reviewed with the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors as part of their monthly meeting held April 3, 2019. A copy was provided to the Committee prior to the meeting. A copy was also provided to all Board Members before it was filed.

Upon election, each director signs a conflict of interest statement requiring disclosure of conflicts of interest and signs a conflict of interest statement annually thereafter during their term. The management of the Organization's parent company, Associated Catholic Charities, Inc. (ACC) continuously reviews and monitors to identify any area of conflict. Article X of ACC's by-laws provides the process should a conflict of interest arise. ACC's conflict of interest policy is also included in the employee handbook.
