| IRS990/Desc | 0 | In 2024, COPE was able to reinforce our testing and outreach efforts to increase community-based health screenings and continue to deliver our community-based outreach programs. We have increased our virtual wellness programs offered and offered some in person wellness classes, to accommodate our participants that thrive in spaces with other members. We partnered with different institutions and organizations in Harlem, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Some of our most popular programs of 2024 were Ask the Dr series with Dr. John Aversa speaking to the importance of routine screenings, Colon cancer prevention with Dr. Donald Kotler, and our Love Thyself mental health workshops, specifically our discussion on forgiveness. We also held our monthly wellness workshops in breathwork, yoga, and meditation. We also had the pleasure of having two in person events in 2024, a Love Thyself workshop, which gave participants a better understanding of dealing with complex mental ideas. And a breath work class with Carlos Rosario, where he was also able to provide acupressure for participants. |
