“In 2015 rozalia project for a clean ocean removed 130,000 pieces of marine debris from remote islands and hard to reach shorelines in the gulf of maine. None of that trash went to landfill; rather it was either upcycled (made into durable, high-value goods), recycled or sent to a waste to energy facility. Furthermore, our sailing research vessel, american promise, operated the house bank solely with solar, wind and hydro power (other than the engine alternator while under power) - zero hours were put on the diesel generator over eight weeks and 800 miles of operations.”
