“Each Board Member has equal voting rights, and the Board is the executive governing body of the association. Additionally, no Board Member is compensated by the association for their service - all are volunteers. Members of the Board are nominated by the organization that sponsors them, usually their employer. In order to nominate someone to the Board, an organization must be a Founding or Platinum Sponsor, or otherwise invited to join the Board by the President. All such nominations must be approved by the Board of Directors at large in order to take effect.”

“Aside from hosting the signature events described, CleanTech OC also cohosted an educational program for start-up CEO's (with 175 attendees), and three networking receptions (150 attendees on average) for the regional industry in 2014. Other programs offered to local companies are more informal in nature, and involve staff meeting with companies to determine their needs for achieving the company's next growth milestone, and connecting such companies with potential resources to achieve that growth (investors, potential customers, and other opportunities for increased industry visibility). Since these services are rendered during staff time there is no budget or dollar amount associated with offering such services, but is instead a general activity as part of our mission.”
