“CancerForward utilizes Schedule O to provide additional information that registers the active and dedicated governance of an independent board, and the importance the board places on practices and policies that assure the dedication of assets to the purposes for which the organization was founded. It is the desire of the organizations directors to provide additional information related to Other Expenses, which are as follows:AdvertisingPhotographyTravelGeneral Liability and O and D InsuranceBanking and Credit Card Processing FeesOffice Supplies and EquipmentSurvivor, Donor and Volunteer Recognition Event Facility RentDigital Communications and Social Media ManagementThe expense category Digital Communications and Social Media Management is represented by a wide variety of costs related to the management of the Foundations digital communications and social media channels that are fundamental to sustaining the Foundations digitally-delivered mission programs. The Foundation extends what it believes to be safe, accurate, comprehensive, and unbiased information through three website modules and several social media channels. The Foundation continuously moderates and manages subscribers activities within one of the website modules. The expenditures related to digital communications and social media management are provided by 72 vendors to CancerForward, and consists of the application of computers, telecommunications equipment and multiple dynamic interactive websites to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate text, images and data. These expenses also include the professional responsibility to design, create, integrate, interpret, and maintain the digital systems appropriate to CancerForwards particular and customized needs.PART III, STATEMENT OF PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTSThe Background of the Organization:The concept of cancer survivorship, now widely accepted and addressed by the cancer research, prevention and treatment communities, does not have a long history in relative terms. Most historical overviews of cancer survivorship generally date the first usage of the term to 1986, when the intellection captured the attention of those working in the fields of cancer care by drawing distinction to the ongoing issues of cancer patients following treatment. Upon CancerForwards inception in 2010, the seven largest healthcare institutions operating in the Texas Medical Center issued a joint public statement to emphasize the need and importance of collaboration between healthcare institutions and public charities in developing cancer survivorship rehabilitation programs. Signed by the Chief Executive Officers of the seven institutions, the statement read: Reflecting increased global awareness of the public health impact of cancer survivorship, there is rapid growth in rigorous scientific inquiry and the numbers of those engage in care that addresses the long-term needs of cancer survivors. Never before has such a higher calling been placed on healthcare institutions and survivor-centered organizations to collaborate in developing effective cancer rehabilitation programs. That is why the proliferation of survivor-focused public charities like CancerForward is so important. We share the hope and belief that the most effective cancer survivorship programs will address the physical, emotional and practical living needs of survivors today and will promote research, interventions and sharing of best practices, thus reducing the long-term burden of cancer to the public. The Foundation extends what it believes to be safe, accurate, comprehensive, and unbiased information through three website modules and several social media channels. The Foundation continuously moderates and manages subscribers activities within one of the website modules. The expenditures related to digital communications and social media management are provided by 72 vendors to CancerForward, and consists of the application of computers, telecommunications equipment and multiple dynamic interactive websites to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate text, images and data. These expenses also include the professional responsibility to design, create, integrate, interpret, and maintain the digital systems appropriate to CancerForwards particular and customized needs.PART III, STATEMENT OF PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTSThe Background of the Organization:The concept of cancer survivorship, now widely accepted and addressed by the cancer research, prevention and treatment communities, does not have a long history in relative terms. Most historical overviews of cancer survivorship generally date the first usage of the term to 1986, when the intellection captured the attention of those working in the fields of cancer care by drawing distinction to the ongoing issues of cancer patients following treatment. Upon CancerForwards inception in 2010, the seven largest healthcare institutions operating in the Texas Medical Center issued a joint public statement to emphasize the need and importance of collaboration between healthcare institutions and public charities in developing cancer survivorship rehabilitation programs. Signed by the Chief Executive Officers of the seven institutions, the statement read: Reflecting increased global awareness of the public health impact of cancer survivorship, there is rapid growth in rigorous scientific inquiry and the numbers of those engage in care that addresses the long-term needs of cancer survivors. Never before has such a higher calling been placed on healthcare institutions and survivor-centered organizations to collaborate in developing effective cancer rehabilitation programs. That is why the proliferation of survivor-focused public charities like CancerForward is so important. We share the hope and belief that the most effective cancer survivorship programs will address the physical, emotional and practical living needs of survivors today and will promote research, interventions and sharing of best practices, thus reducing the long-term burden of cancer to the public.
