When U-TOUCH empowers the young adults in Uganda we are fortifying the foundation for the next generation. A particularly good example is the Womens Empowerment Program touching generations of women with a future filled with hope and success. Successful mothers serve as examples, role models, for their daughters to emulate. With their newly earned discretionary income mothers invest in education and healthcare for their children. The ultimate mission of U-TOUCH is to get healthy children in school and provide the best opportunities for their educational success. U-TOUCH partnered with GIZ to: Utilize innovative technology as a catalyst and to empower girls, CBOs, and communities to address all forms of vulnerabilities facing girls.Utilize community-driven solutions in the fight against early/forced marriage.Build the capacity of Community-Based Organizations in Uganda to catalyze community-driven efforts to stamp out all drivers of vulnerability, GBV, FGM/C among girlsStrengthen community- and local government-led girls-focused protection approaches and systemsU-TOUCH has trained over 6000 youth directly and impacted over 100,000 with opportunities for employment, education, entrepreneurship, promotions, and improved health.”
