“Forpeace is a volunteer-run ngo with dozens of local activists and partner organizations. We focus on community-led economically sustainable, and long-lasting solutions to humanitarian war relief. From march to november 2022, the forpeace ukraine relief project focused on humanitarian (food, clean water, winter warmth) and medical aid (medical evacuation vehicles, ambulances, tourniquets, ifaks, and protective equipment). Since the liberation of kherson, we have expanded into reconstruction projects in the newly liberated areas,. In january 2023, we launched our in-country trauma surgery program, which we are developing to properly train and equip ukrainian medical professionals with proper war truauma surgery resources.”

“Line 4the clean water project has achieved significant progress by providing over 1000 communal filters to 300 communities in war-torn regions. These filters allow for the purification of up to 1000l of drinking water per cartridge, and our team of local residents ensures regular replacements for these filters. Additionally, we have funded the repair of 250 meters of water pipe, installed four water pumps, and brought water to destroyed villages in partnership with other organizations. Our organization is committed to sustainable development, and as such, we have initiated locally-led projects that include firewood initiatives, the procurement of tractors, commercial wood chippers, and log splitters in liberated ukrainian villages. We have also allocated $300k towards providing medical aid to frontline volunteers and medical professionals, including the purchase of 15 evacuation vehicles, 4,000 specialized first aid kits, and 500 sterilized disposables. In addition, we ensure that five frontline hospitals have regular access to sterilization and sanitation supplies. Our organization has also sponsored six programs, including sports activities, games, arts and crafts, and educational opportunities. We recognize the importance of addressing the long-lasting traumatic effects of surviving occupation and living in regions near the frontline, and as such, we have provided hibuki therapy sessions for children and parents to process their experiences.”
