Campaign Constitution was established in 2009 to promote the adoption of process amendments by a convention of states under Article 5 of the constitution. In 2020 we changed the mission to assist the states to obtain a convention of states and became a 501c(3) organization.

Campaign Constitution Problem Overview John M. Cogswell, a fifth generation Coloradoan and practicing lawyer for 48 years, believes the method of federal government decision-making which has evolved under the Constitution has given us leaders who have diminished our unalienable rights of "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" envisioned by the Founding Fathers. He argues that the only way to recover this vision is to change the character of our leaders by changing the way decisions are made. To do this, he recommends process amendments to the Constitution initiated by the States under their Article V power because Congress, which has the most to lose by needed changes, will never fix the system. In furtherance of his recommendations, he has proposed 44 amendments to the Constitution and written a short commentary on each of them and other essays for public discussion. He has also outlined a method for realizing these changes under the leadership of Campaign Constitution, a nonprofit corporation, whose business plan details necessary action. Those who share his view will find a workable method for reforming the Constitution with changes needed to recapture the spirit of freedom and limited government underlying the foundation of America. Whether this happens is up to you - whether you will don the spirit of Paul Revere and spread "the alarm through every Middlesex village and farm". Our future depends on it. The mission is clear.
