“The process the organization uses to review the 990 is to send an electronic copy of the 990 to every board member for their review prior to a board officer signing the return.”
“Each director, principal officer, and member of a committee with governing board delegated powers annually signs a statement which affirms such person has received a copy of the conflicts of interest policy, has read and understands the policy, has agreed to comply with the policy, and understands the organization is charitable and in order to maintain its federal tax exemption it must engage primarily in activities which accomplish its tax-exempt purpose.”
“The board of directors reviews and approves compensation for the executive director and the call center employees. The compensation packages are based on the use of data from comparable 211 organizations. Contemporaneous documentation and recordkeeping with respect to deliberations and decisions regarding the compensation arrangements are kept by the board of directors in their executive minutes.”

“Covid-19 helpline program ended june 30, 2024.”
“Kinship connections of wyoming is designated to serve as a one-stop shop for information and referral services, provide an advocate and liaison for grandparents or other kin who are needing assistance with navigating the supports and services, network and empower families to support and advocate for one another. The overall outcomes of the program are to provide navigation services that include helping families access resources, decreasing interactions with child welfare programs, increasing child safety, permanency, and wellbeing for the caregiver and the children they are caring for. This program has been in a partnership with montana in order to create a large enough program pool to qualify for an evaluation through the federal clearinghouse connected to these title 4 funds. The requirements are at least 125 families served through the program. With low populations in both states, combining the data pool allowed them to work together to qualify. Together they have 153 families (92 of those being new families in wyoming - an increase of 43% over the previous year) in case management. This management has included support through the guardianship process including the associated fees. In addition to this evaluation work, the wyoming kinship staff began hosting caregiver retreats. These events are 5-hour self-care sessions for those caregivers providing daily informal care for their loved ones. The retreat began in the fall of 2024 with the first being held in laramie county. The event was attended by 15 caregivers. Dates are set for 2025 to continue to host these events throughout the state.”
“Aging and disability resource center - wyoming 211 partners with the wyoming department of family services, wyoming department of health, the university of wyoming, wyoming center on aging and the alzheimer's association of wyoming to provide an aging and disability resource center (adrc). We hired a navigator in october and she has received certifications from inform usa (formerly airs) for community resource specialists for aging/disabled certification and is working towards her soar certification to assist disabled individuals with their ssi/ssdi applications and paperwork. Adrc navigators provide unbiased, objective information and assistance about a wide variety of topics including aging and disability services and support, long-term care planning, connections to resources for financial assistance, housing, transportation, nutrition, caregiver support and services and so much more. Since october 2024, the adrc program has engaged with 30 clients and taken on 10 new cases. This program navigator will begin outreach to senior centers across the state, as well as adult protective teams in order to make new connections and raise awareness of the case management services.”
“Communicare (wyoming's community information exchange-cie)- wyoming 211's cie program is a network of cross-sector partners who commit to sharing information and coordinating care with each other. Partners access a variety of tools and technology that help them identify client needs, close the loop on referrals, communicate with others working with shared clients, and better identify available resources. This program aims to improve community services, health and equity by improving coordination and communication between service providers. As a result, their shared clients have better and more efficient access to the services, care and support they need to improve their health, functioning and quality of life. In march of 2024, we ran a successful pilot program in laramie county involving 8 program partners. The pilot was very successful, and we will be doing a statewide launch of communicare this spring. We are working closely with the family resource centers that were established through state funding in 2022. These brick-and-mortar locations in each county offer a "no wrong door" connection to resources in their community and/or programs available at the state level. Communicare provides a uniform platform for referrals and access to our database of services.”
“Helping heros revive wyoming- partnering with cognitive behavioral theater, wyoming 211 had the privilege of presenting to first responders, healthcare professionals, nonprofit organizations and community business leaders about the importance of wyoming 211. Networking breakouts were also facilitated. These conferences were held in cody, casper, laramie, cheyenne, jackson, sheridan, rock springs and gillette. Vigilant guard- wyoming 211 participated in a disaster simulation hosted by homeland security in june of 2024. Our staff handled over 100 calls to help victims of the natrona county flood scenario. We were audited by mile high 211 out of denver during the process and received the highest marks. Lip sync battle- in november 2024, wyoming 211 hosted its 2nd annual in- person fundraiser- lip sync battle. Four community groups competed to win the coveted "best lip sync act" award. We raised 14,924 and gained 30 new donors in one night. Gold seal of transparency- the gold seal from candid (formerly known as guidestar) represents wyoming 211's commitment to transparency and accountability. To earn the coveted gold seal, wyoming 211 provided qualitative information about the organization's goals, strategies, vision, and financial health. Candid, the world's largest source of nonprofit information, connects nonprofits, foundations, and individuals to the resources they need to do good. Less than five percent of the 1.8 million nonprofits registered with candid are recognized with this distinction. Covid-19 - in march 2020, wyoming 211 and the wyoming department of health (wdh) partnered to provide a public telephone helpline for covid-19 questions and information. On march 16, 2020, wyoming 211 stood up its call center to disseminate information related to the covid-19 pandemic. Wyoming 211 is still contracted with the state of wyoming to be the covid helpline.”

| IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc | 0 | COMMUNICARE (WYOMING'S COMMUNITY INFORMATION EXCHANGE-CIE)- WYOMING 211'S CIE PROGRAM IS A NETWORK OF CROSS-SECTOR PARTNERS WHO COMMIT TO SHARING INFORMATION AND COORDINATING CARE WITH EACH OTHER. COMMUNICARE PROVIDES A UNIFORM PLATFORM FOR REFERRALS AND ACCESS TO OUR DATABASE OF SERVICES. |
