| IRS990ScheduleA/FactsAndCircumstancesTestTxt | 0 | Bridge to Skate is a small, volunteer-run organization that primarily serves under-resourced youth in underserved communities. While our total revenue is modest and larger individual donations can significantly impact our support percentage, we have consistently received a broad base of support from the general public. We maintain strong public involvement through free community events, youth programming, and partnerships with local schools and service providers. Our activities are open to the public, and we actively solicit small contributions through grassroots fundraising efforts. Although our public support percentage is below 33.33 percent, it is well above 10 percent, and we meet the facts and circumstances test as a publicly supported organization due to the nature of our programs, the diversity of our donors, and the public benefit we provide. |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 3 | The difference between Part I, Line 21 and Part II, Column (B), Line 27 is due to non-cash (in-kind) contributions totaling $39,805 received during the current year, which were used to support youth programming and distributed throughout the year. Additionally, the balance sheet includes $10,000 of in-kind assets carried over from the prior year, which contributed to the beginning net asset total and further accounts for the difference in year-end net assets between Part I and Part II. | ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt | 0 | I am writing on behalf of Bridge to Skate, a volunteer-run nonprofit organization, to respectfully explain the reason for the late filing of our Form 990-EZ for the tax year ending December 31, 2024. This was our organization's first time filing the 990-EZ, and as a volunteer, I was unaware of the mandatory e-filing requirement-submitted the return by mail in good faith, believing that it was acceptable. I later discovered that the IRS now requires all 990 series forms to be filed electronically. Upon realizing this error, I took immediate steps to correct it and am now filing the form electronically as required. I sincerely apologize for the oversight and respectfully request that any penalties associated with this late filing be waived. This was an honest mistake made by first-time filers. Our entire team remains committed to fulfilling our responsibilities as a nonprofit organization and will ensure future filings are submitted properly and on time. Thank you for your understanding and consideration. |
